About Us

Health is better together.

We’re CoupleyFit™—a health, wellness, and lifestyle brand redefining how families and organizations approach long-term wellbeing to build Generational Health. Through our award-winning S.W.A.N.™ Method (Sleep, Water, Activity, Nutrition) and “Two Can Do It™” philosophy, CoupleyFit™ helps couples, companies, and communities build sustainable, measurable health habits improving health outcomes together.

CoupleyFit™ partners with national brands and organizations to integrate wellness through strategy, storytelling, community activations, and digital education—bridging the gap between health, culture, and business impact.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: make health accessible, inclusive, and realistic for couples and families to build generational health.

We meet people where they are and help them grow—physically, mentally, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually—because lasting health is never one-dimensional.

Our Story

We’re Kurt and DeAnna Mangum II—husband and wife, co-founders, and the faces behind CoupleyFit™. We launched CoupleyFit™ in 2016, just three months after getting married.

Kurt holds a Master’s degree in Sports Science and competed as a Division I athlete. DeAnna is a Certified Nutrition and Wellness Consultant and Transformational Specialist. But more than our credentials, it was lived experience that shaped this work.

We watched family members struggle—and, in some cases, pass away—from preventable conditions like diabetes and hypertension. Those moments made it clear that access to practical, understandable health education can change lives. We knew we had a responsibility to use our expertise to help close that gap and make health education more accessible for the people who need it most.

We started in local parks with simple boot camps—no barriers, no intimidation, just movement, accountability, and community. From there, we grew into a gym in Mesa, Arizona, offering custom training, meal plans, and meal delivery.

As the people we worked with began to thrive, we kept hearing the same questions:

What are the basics of health that anyone can participate in?

And what does lasting health actually look like?

  • S.W.A.N.™ + Two Can Do It™

Those questions led us to create the S.W.A.N.™ Method—Sleep, Water, Activity, Nutrition—the four foundational pillars of physical health.

S.W.A.N.™ is intentionally science-backed and straightforward. It removes friction and meets people exactly where they are. It’s not about extremes or perfection; it’s about small, consistent habit changes that compound over time and help you feel better physically, mentally, and emotionally.

But as our community grew, we realized something critical:

    Physical health alone isn’t enough.

That’s where our Two Can Do It™ philosophy comes in.

When you have another person on your health journey, everything changes—motivation increases,  connection deepens, and accountability becomes natural. Health is more sustainable when it’s shared.

Two Can Do It™ is built on:

    • Motivation through shared goals

    • Connection through doing life together

    • Accountability through consistency and support

When S.W.A.N.™ provides the structure, and Two Can Do It™ provides the support, real change happens.

    Whole-Person Health

Health also includes emotional, mental, relational, and spiritual well-being. We’ve seen it firsthand: when people focus on only one area, progress stalls. When they honor the whole person, change lasts.

This understanding reshaped everything we do. CoupleyFit™ became a whole-person, whole-relationship model, rooted in the belief that when couples and communities grow together, families and communities transform.

  • Today, we work at the intersection of health, culture, community, and storytelling.

    We partner with:

    Cities & Tourism Organizations
We support health and wellness initiatives that enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors. We help cities bring wellness to life through education and social media visibility that reflect local culture and community needs.

    Brands & Businesses
We help brands show up with clarity and credibility across their social media and wellness initiatives through innovative strategy, authentic storytelling, and community-centered content.

    Organizations & Communities
From grassroots initiatives to national platforms, we provide education, programming, and thought leadership grounded in trust, lived experience, and results.

  • We believe trust is built through consistency and transparency, not hype. That’s why we show up through:

    • Community-driven wellness activations

    • Strategic partnerships rooted in shared values

    • Digital education and virtual experiences

    • Honest storytelling across social media and live events

Everything we do is designed to feel human, accessible, and actionable.

  • We believe health is better together.
We believe progress is built through small, consistent actions.
And we believe honoring the whole person creates lasting change.

CoupleyFit™ exists to help couples, communities, and brands build healthier futures—together.

KURT

As a child, being overweight made me feel uncomfortable in my own skin. One day, I gathered the courage to ask my mom for help. I asked her, “Can I get a trainer?”

With each session, I shed not just pounds but layers of doubt, building strength and confidence. Soon, I was tackling life and opponents as an All-American Linebacker. Earning my Bachelor’s in Communications and a Master’s in Education transformed my testimony into a calling.

Now, alongside my wonderful wife, we channel our journey into CoupleyFit™ where partners build generational health together. We guide others in transforming their lives and feel better together. Remember, no matter where you start, every step forward is a victory!

Kurt’s Testimonial

DEANNA

Health and wellness have always been part of my story. I was raised by two collegiate athletes, where movement, discipline, and caring for the body were simply a way of life. But my understanding of health deepened in a very personal way during my sophomore year at Arizona State University, when I discovered I was gluten intolerant.

The constant bloating, brain fog, and daily discomfort were exhausting and frustrating. That experience became a turning point. Instead of accepting that this was “just how it was,” I chose to learn, advocate for myself, and ultimately help others avoid the same confusion and pain.

I became a Certified Nutrition and Wellness Consultant and began guiding individuals and couples through their health journeys, starting with nutrition and building from there. My approach is rooted in simplicity and sustainability—meeting people where they are and helping them make realistic, effective, and life-giving changes.

As a Transformation Specialist, I’ve seen firsthand what happens when people feel empowered to take ownership of their health. Alongside my husband, I now help couples and families create manageable lifestyle shifts that support long-term wellness. Together, we believe health is better when it’s shared, and that a vibrant, thriving life is not only possible, but within reach for everyone.
